Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Compliance team as a Part-time Variable Air Quality Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Air
Dispersion Modeling, Air Quality Permitting, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver the professional consulting services offered by ESE Partners using ESE delivery systems and methodologies.
• Conduct Air Dispersion Modeling using SCREEN3, AERMOD, and/or other discreet air modeling tools.
• Author and/or review technical Modeling Protocol Reports, AQA Modeling Reports, and modeling files, in accordance with the U.S. EPA and/or proper state regulatory Guidelines.
• Has experience is various states of conducting off-site impacts analysis, but at a minimum has experience in the state of Texas.
• Develop solutions to mitigate, control, or prevent environmental issues with regards to air dispersion modeling, the client cannot demonstrate compliance with the SIL, any other issues that may come up when performing air permitting applications off-site impacts analysis, etc.
• Coordinate, manage and interpret the installation of site-specific temporary ambient air monitors, as necessary.
• Consult with Arc GIS Team to develop Site Maps and other pertinent drawings needed for project deliverables.
• Maintain an average utilization target of 90%.
• Perform other project duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Environmental Compliance with Air Modeling and Permitting experience.
• Experience with Air Modeling software (AERMOD, SCREEN3, etc.)
• Strong knowledge and understanding air quality regulations, including the Clean Air Act and state-specific permitting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site assessments
Preferred Skills
• Experience with NSR and Operating permit applications in various states.
