Environmental Science Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team as an Environmental Science Intern to learn about and support Environmental Consulting activities. The Intern will be tasked with working with various business units and assisting with field work, project research, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform frontloading tasks, field work, data entry and report preparation support, as needed.
- Perform site visits and inspections to identify potential environmental
- Review historical documents, regulatory records, and other relevant information to assess property conditions.
- Learn to prepare detailed and comprehensive deliverable reports, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Learn to conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM 1527
- Assist other Business Units, such as Corrective Action, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Compliance, and Building Sciences, when assigned.
- Ensure all assessments are completed within project timelines and budget
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support project
- Track accomplishments and key takeaways throughout the internship.
- Give a brief presentation in the final week of the internship to share feedback on your experience with managers and peers.
- Perform other project duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 60+ hours towards a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with environmental sampling and
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Understanding of environmental policy and regulation.
- Knowledge of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and remediation

$20 Hourly
