Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Corrective Action team in our Houston office. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), managing field activities, and authoring technical reports. The candidate will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of Environmental Professionals and will be involved in a variety of Environmental Remediation projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Conduct Field Investigations – Visual Inspections and Multimedia sampling.
  • Manage the installation and sampling of soil borings, temporary monitor wells, and permanent monitor wells.
  • Prepare detailed and comprehensive Phase II ESA reports, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Assist in the management of numerous project tasks simultaneously with potentially widely varying environmental scopes of work.
  • Author technical reports in accordance with the ASTM, TCEQ and RRC Guidelines.
  • Perform Risk Based Calculations.
  • Manage and interpret laboratory analytical data.
  • Manage aspects of client accounts and approve subcontractor invoices.
  • Ensure all assessments are completed within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices for environmental site assessments.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to support project objectives.
  • Perform other project duties, as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in conducting Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of field-based operations and safety requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site assessments.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with environmental sampling and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Knowledge of Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and remediation processes.
