ESE Partners is proud to announce that Ryan Gilbert, Natural Resources Project Manager in our Katy office, will be a featured speaker at the Texas Association of Environmental Professionals (TAEP) monthly luncheon on November 20, 2025, at Cadillac Bar in Houston.
Ryan’s presentation, “Practical Applications of Living Shoreline Techniques,” will focus on the design, regulatory, and ecological aspects of implementing nature-based shoreline protection projects. He will highlight how living shorelines serve as resilient, sustainable alternatives to traditional hard-armoring methods—providing erosion control while enhancing habitat value and maintaining natural coastal processes.
As coastal regions face increasing challenges from development pressure, sea-level rise, and storm events, the demand for science-driven, nature-based solutions has never been greater. Living shoreline techniques represent a key part of that future—bridging engineering and ecology to create projects that protect both communities and ecosystems.
At ESE Partners, we are committed to advancing environmental innovation and collaboration across Texas. We look forward to contributing to this important discussion and connecting with environmental professionals dedicated to building resilient, sustainable coastlines.
